We believe strong and growing families are one of the most important parts of the church. This is why we have dedicated much of our church resources and staff to ensure that our Children's, Student's and Family Ministries are fun, safe and relevant for everyone in the family to know Jesus and become more like Him!

Kids: birth - 4th grade
If this is your first time at our church
As you head down the kids' hallway, go directly to the check-in desk. There, someone will help register your kids, print off name tags, show your kids where they need to go, and explain the pick up process. Please remember to keep your Number Tag with you at all times, you will need this to pick your child.
If your family and child is already registered with us...
Step up to one of the tablets attached to the wall in the Kids' Hallway! Simply type in your phone number, select your child’s name, time of service, and grade. After hitting done, labels will print out from the printer next to you. Attach the stickers to your child and hold onto the tag with the numbers on it. Keep this with you at all times. If you lose your number tag please head over to the check-in desk in the hallway and someone will be there to reprint a new tag.
Students: 5th - 8th grade
If this is your first time at our church...
Head to the Student Center which is on the south side of our building, directly across from Holmes Elementary School. A Leader will help get you and your student’s information so that they will then be in our system. Your student will then make themselves a name tag and join the group. Please come back after service to pick up your student. High School Students attend the adult Worship Service on Sunday mornings.
If your family and child is already registered with us...
Your student can search for their name using the iPad in the Student Center, select their name, service time, and grade level. Once that is complete they will create a name tag for themselves and join the group. Please come back to the Student Center at the end of service to pick up your student.

Dan Istvanik
Family Pastor
Dan came to Avenue Christian as the Family Pastor, with 25+ years of youth and family ministry experience. He has served in churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Louisiana, and Washington DC. He has a BA in Biblical Studies and Counseling Psychology from Clark Summit University and a Masters degree n Education from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. He is a ministry speaker, author and resource creator. Dan is passionate about encouraging, equipping, and empowering families in walking the journey of faith together. He loves the outdoors, long boarding and exploring new places with Melissa, his wife, and Jenna and Kaleb, their two children.
