Mission and Vision
Why We Exist
The mission of the Christian Church of Clarendon Hills is to build loving relationships with God and people through Jesus Christ. Our main goal is to help as a many people as possible get into a saving love relationship with God. We realize the key to introducing people to Jesus Christ is building relationships with them by demonstrating God’s love. Our mission is based on a key scripture found in Matthew 22:36-40, “‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’ Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Our Mission
To build loving relationships with God and people through Jesus Christ.
Within our Mission Statement are six points of application. These allow us to have specific standards by which we can evaluate everything we do. These six things came as a result of careful study of the Bible, looking to see what God has asked His church to be and do, and then by summarizing what we found. By accomplishing our mission we seek to grow:
- Stronger through Worship (John 4:23)
- Deeper through Discipleship (Luke 9:23)
- Wiser through Service (James 3:13)
- Warmer through Fellowship (Acts 2:42-47)
- Larger through Evangelism (Acts 2:47)
- Broader through Missions (Matthew 28:18-20)
Our Vision
To be an authentic biblical community where no one stands alone.
As this vision becomes reality, we desire to see the culture of CCCH continually characterized by the following phrases:
- No one develops alone
- No one seeks Christ alone
- No one grows up alone
- No one serves alone
- No one struggles alone
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:2-3)
